Day of Prayer and Fasting (1st April)

In light of the current crisis, several of the congregations of St Andrews are calling for a day of prayer and fasting in St Andrews and the surrounding area on Wednesday, 1 April 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. We believe that this is a moment for all people to turn to the true and living God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that we must all seek God’s guidance for the good of our local community, our nation, and our world.

We invite all who desire to join with us from wherever you reside to fast and pray in the name of Jesus on 1 April as you are able. Please feel free to fast in the way you see fit – perhaps by skipping a meal, or by not watching television, or by staying off social media.

Although physically separated, we will all be praying together that God would bring healing to our world in the midst of the devastation being caused by the coronavirus. We remember that God, our creator and our saviour, is the only one with full authority over the present situation.

As part of the day of prayer and fasting there will be two hours of worship and prayer that will be live-streamed that day, one in the morning (9:00-10:00) and one in the evening (8:00-9:00).

The services will be streamed on the Baptist Church’s facebook page (www.facebook.com/StAndrewsBap) and website (www.standrewsbaptist.org.uk) for you to tune in.
